Prior to setting up Proventus he was part of the team that created Polenergia SA (Poland’s largest independent renewable utility/IPP) in 2012 and was also CFO from 2016-2018 during restructuring/re-positioning of Poland’s largest independent/renewable vertically integrated utility listed on the WSE, and Investment Director Poland’s largest global capital group Kulczyk Investments for almost 10 years.
During this time, Bart implemented an onshore wind debt restructuring during a time of regulatory challenge and retrospective change, originated/executed a c3GW Offshore Wind JV between Polenergia & Equinor, oversaw a significant cost restructuring/reduction programme and staff re-organisation, created a diversification strategy for international growth including into battery storage and oversaw life extension/performance improvement options for onshore fleet.
In his earlier career Bart worked at Oaktree Capital Management, NM Rothschild and PwC. Fluent in Polish/English & German. MBA Booth Business School – University of Chicago, Chartered Accountant (ICEAW – ACA), LLB Law with German Law Kings College London/Passau University.
